Start Cup Lazio (SCL), of which Luiss is the founder partner, is the regional Business Plan Competition that rewards the best innovative business projects born in Lazio’s Universities and Research Institutions.
Aiming to foster the academic and student entrepreneurship and the spread of business culture in the regional research system, with the perspective of the economic and social implementation across the country, this 11th edition of Start Cup Lazio, admits 15 teams of researchers and 24 teams of students to the second phase of "Business Idea Validation".
Among the 15 teams of researchers, CULTUM is an entrepreneurial initiative promoting cleantech solutions for the agricultural sector, developed in synergy with Luiss research activities in energy and sustainability. By contributing its technical expertise to address territorial challenges and opportunities in collaboration with the University, CULTUM proposes an innovative model that connects farmers and landowners to counteract agricultural land neglect through Agritech solutions and Italian-made supply chains, with a measurable ESG impact.
Following training and mentoring for teams that have passed the first validation stage and thanks to the support of the Lazio Region and Lazio Innova, the selection process will move on to the final stage, ahead of Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione (PNI). For the top three ranked business ideas - among teams of students and researchers - there are cash prizes and additional awards.
