With regard to the latest developments of the spread of the Novel Coronavirus contagion, we would like to provide students with the following practices all students should adopt, above and beyond what has already been communicated to you previously.

A number of countries have not found the widespread contagion of the COVID-19 Virus so as to implement restrictive measures such as those taken here in Italy. Nonetheless, we highly recommend that all students be aware of and put into practice the following actions to do your part in preventing the spread of the disease, including:
  • Avoid congregating in public spaces such as discotheques, pubs, sports clubs, theaters or cinemas.
  • Avoid shaking hands or hugging others until the virus is under control
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or use alcohol-based gels if water not available
  • Keep a safe distance between yourself and others of at least 1m
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when sneezing or coughing
If you feel like you have flu-like symptoms, do not go to the hospital emergency room. Stay at home and contact a local health service and they will give you instructions.
Luiss is monitoring very closely the spread of the virus in all of the countries housing our study abroad students at partner universities. We have also activated support lines for students and families who may wish to use it.
