Department of Business and Management
The Department of Business and Management is an international community of scholars embracing diverse currents of thought, strongly committed to promoting high quality and rigorous research. The Department promotes collaboration and the development of joint research projects, including across various disciplines. In line with Luiss selection procedures, the Department adopts high international standards for the recruitment and academic career of its faculty.
Department of Economics and Finance
The Department of Economics and Finance brings together a diverse faculty with a wide range of research interests, ranging from macroeconomics to experimental economics, finance to political economy, economic history to artificial intelligence, and industrial organisation to quantitative methods. Through numerous ambitious initiatives and the consolidation of its position on the international stage, the Department has managed to obtain prestigious international research funding, such as ERC and Horizon, as well as an array of national funding, such as PRIN.
Department of Law
The Department of Law is composed of a community of scholars who seek to combine the values and methodologies of high-level legal sciences with a growing openness to innovation and the European and international dimension. The Department's research activities have led to a significant increase in academic output published in prestigious national and international journals. In recent years, numerous research projects initiated by scholars of the Department have received international and national funding. The Department is also actively engaged in cooperation with public and private bodies, including with a view to Third Mission activities.
Department of Political Science
The Department of Political Science is a multidisciplinary and multinational community of scholars conducting research in various fields of the social sciences. Research is a fundamental pillar of the Department, which is also home to one of the most successful PhD programmes in Politics in Europe. Moreover, in the belief that the impact of research also depends on its dissemination and the ability to transform it into productive knowledge, the Department is actively engaged in a number of funded research projects, both national and international, which enable it to pursue cutting-edge research in various disciplines.
Luiss Business School
Luiss Business School is an internationally recognized center for postgraduate studies, currently ranked among the global elite of business schools. This recognition is attributable to triple international accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Established in 1987 as the Management School of Luiss University, it became Luiss Business School in 2006 and it has been located in the prestigious Villa Blanc in Rome since 2017. Over the years, the School has consolidated its leadership in the national market of higher education with a focus on developing managerial skills.
A key characteristics of the School is its long-lasting relationship with the Italian and global business communities, contributing to debates on the intersection of theory and practice.

Luiss School of Law
Luiss School of Law (LSL) represents an innovation in the field of legal studies in Italy. LSL was conceived within the framework of the international strategic objectives being pursued by Luiss Guido Carli. It is targeted to whoever intends to acquire or further develop outstanding legal training or to deepen the scientific research in the various branches of Law with an international focus.
The initiatives and the sphere of interests of the LSL cover all fields of legal studies. For example: Public, Constitutional and Administrative Law; Private Law; Commercial and Business Law; Criminal Law; Labor and Welfare Law; Procedural Law, Tax Law, Comparative Law; Comparative Law; International Law; European Union Law.
Massimo Baldini School of Journalism
The Massimo Baldini School of Journalism, associated with the Department of Political Science, offers its students specialized training in the area of IT systems and new forms of multimedia communication along with solid theoretical knowledge and daily technical and practical exercises. The objective is to prepare students for a job market that is ever more selective and competitive, with an international outlook focused on the legal, economic and socio-political sectors. The school emphasizes the importance of new technologies, while also giving students a solid foundation in the basics of the profession: press, radio and television. The limited number allows students to register for the journalistic apprenticeship, in accordance with current legislation and agreements with the National Council of Journalists.
