On Friday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m., the Aula Chiesa on the Viale Romania campus hosts a talk with Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, founder of Mary’s Meals, one of the most important organizations in the fight against world hunger.
Organized by Professor Paolo Spagnoletti’s course in Organizational Studies, the event with the CEO of Mary’s Meals will present the non-profit organization that has fed over one million children in 14 developing countries since 2002.
The testimony from Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, represents an extraordinary example of ethics, and proof that working together for a common goal can bring life-saving change to communities in most need.
Mary’s Meals is also a tangible example of efficient organizational strategies and use of new technology to create successful crowdfunding campaigns.
MacFarlane-Barrow will speak about structural and behavioral aspects of the organization including mission and strategic positioning, international workplaces, innovative organizational models, advanced use of social networks, leadership and culture.
Rector Paola Severino and Professor Paolo Spagnoletti will introduce the talk.
The event is held in English and is open to all students by registration.
