On Thursday, February 23, 2017, President of Confindustria Vincenzo Boccia and LUISS President Emma Marcegaglia signed a memorandum of understanding to renew the collaboration
between the entrepreneurial association and the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali (LUISS University) in order to strengthen the role of the industrial system in Italy’s development.
Per the memorandum, LUISS is committed to:
- Promoting apprenticeships and specialization programs to its graduates;
- Developing educational program on themes related to entrepreneurship and Made in Italy;
- Promoting the research of case studies on the country’s businesses;
- Developing, alongside the LUISS Business School, initiatives to support and offer personalized services to companies interested in modernization 4.0;
- Creating, through LUISS ENLABS, in collaboration with Confindustria, an application and portal to develop AdottUp, an “adoption” program for startups and small to medium-sized companies, extending the program to companies from other university incubators;
- Establishing a set of best practices that highlight success stories and create specialized educational courses for second generation entrepreneurs.
Accordingly, in collaboration with Sistemi Formativi Confindustria (SFC), Confindustria is committed to:
- Involving companies in for-credit internships as part of students’ university career;
- Organizing company visits for students in their second and third years of university study;
- Opening the Rome headquarters to students and graduates;
- Developing initiatives that introduce LUISS students to the workforce;
- Offer job shadowing experiences to give students a glimpse into the world of enrepreneurs and professionals;
- Offer LUISS ENLABS startuppers, selected by the University, the chance to present their ideas on the Officine Formative site.
LUISS and Confindustria furthermore are committed to building the Observatory on Innovation and Internationalization of Small and Medium-Sized Companies, with three members from each organization and offices on a LUISS campus.
In signing this memorandum, Confindustria and LUISS express their intentions to join forces and offer their respective know-how in order to best serve students graduates.
