LUISS has created five full-ride scholarships for students in their final year of high school affected by the August 24 earthquake.
The application period is open until November 2. Scholarships, including room and board in new student residences will be awarded to the students with the highest scores on the admission test held in Rome on Saturday, November 5.
“With this initiative we hope to contribute in our own small way to help young people in the area think about their futures, invest in themselves and in their ambitions,” remarks the university’s newly elected rector, Paola Severino.
The scholarships are valid for all the university’s bachelor degree programs: Political Science, Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Economics and Management, Economics and Business, and Law. In order to maintain the scholarship, students must complete 70% of the credits required annually and maintain a 27/30 GPA.
Only residents of the area defined by the Council of Ministers Decree of September 23, 2016 will be considered.
LUISS General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto has declared the university’s interest in supporting the careers of young people hit by the earthquake in order to “enable them to pursue their ambitions and achieve their goals with determination and confidence in their abilities.”
