LUISS has become a part of the EU Non-Proliferation Consortium, the European network that supports education and strategies to prevent the diffusion of weapons of mass destruction.
Financed by the Council of the European Union, the Consortium is a collection of think tanks, research centers and European universities committed to proliferation, disarmament and controlling armament.
The official reference points for the project are Professors Raffaele Marchetti, Natalino Ronzitti and Roberta Mulas, a PhD candidate working in collaboration with LUISS and the University of Warwick.
“The goal of the European Union is to heighten knowledge on these themes by sharing all our national tools and expertise,” explains Mulas. “The first project that LUISS will participate in is a series of internships sponsored by ICEDD, the International Center on Democracy and Democratisation, directed by Professor Leonardo Morlino. Additional educational programs are currently in development, including online modules and conferences, in addition to annual policy brief publications that support European Union activities.”
