Federico Roesler Franz, a LUISS alumni with a degree in Economics and Business Management, is the CEO of Bulsara Advertising, a communication agency that works from within the LUISS Enlabs business accelerator to create unconventional publicity campaigns both online and offline as well as creative advertising in unusual places.
I came to LUISS for my second year,” says Federico, “my time at LUISS coincided with the transition from Viale Pola to Viale Romania. I have fond memories of both campuses, the former a little cozier and more historic while the latter is more modern and in line with the best campuses around the world. My friends, my lessons and the professors all made my time at LUISS unforgettable.”
The idea to open a communication agency came at the completion of his Master’s degree while contemplating an alternative way to advertise in physical space. “We started with the offline part. Bulsara was a gamble, an attempt to create a business based on toilet advertising, which is frequently used abroad in the bathrooms of pubs and restaurants. The original concept was relatively simple: adding stickers or frames containing advertising to bathroom walls. We began there and then started creating complete displays in surprising locations, to engage an audience and deliver the message better.”
The company is well-known among LUISS students who saw the work of Bulsara Adv in their own bathrooms and at Career Day stands, which have even been awarded Best Display. “We had a really positive, fun response from the students. Our displays make bathrooms more colorful and welcoming, despite the current advertising crisis, allow even the smallest budgets to hit well-defined targets and maximize return on investment.”
Five years after its founding, the agency has had concrete results and has expanded into the world of digital marketing. “After creating offline campaigns using thematic displays and original signs in places such as airports, we have expanded into the online world, where we offer plans that include: website development, social media maintenance, brand management and awareness, reaching new clients as well as new communication concepts such as competitions and videos. Our objective is to become a 360° agency, capable of offering brands the best online and offline campaigns.”
