
Yesterday, Monday 7 July, at the Viale Pola campus, a three-year cooperation agreement was signed between Luiss University and Saipem, a global leader in engineering services in the energy sector.
A meeting between the Rector, Paolo Boccardelli, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Saipem, Elisabetta Serafin, and Saipem Chief People, HSEQ and Sustainability Officer, Massimiliano Branchi, marked the official launch of a programme with ambitious aims.
Aims and planned activities
The agreement has been established with the aim of strengthening the link between academia and business, promoting joint initiatives in the fields of research, education and bringing young people closer to the world of work, with a particular focus on issues related to the future of energy and sustainable development.
The planned activities include:
• joint research projects and laboratories;
• company visits and training internships for Luiss students provided by Saipem;
• professional insights and meetings with Saipem personnel as part of the University’s academic activities;
• advanced training programmes for Saipem personnel provided by Luiss Postgraduate School and Luiss Business School.
