Paolo Trichilo LUISS

On Monday, January 11, 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation nominated LUISS alumnus Paolo Trichilo the new Italian Ambassador to Ljubjana.Paolo Trichilo received a degree in Political Science from LUISS in 1987. He then worked as a teaching assistant for courses on Human Rights and International Relations at the University.

He began his diplomatic career in 1990, working in Rome for the Office of Political Affairs, the General Secretary, the General Secretary for the Middle East and the Crisis Unit. He also joined special diplomatic delegations in Vienna, Helsinki, Mulhouse, Ankara, Baghdad and New Delhi.

He was the First Advisor and Permanent Representative to the OECD in Paris and from 2012 until 2015 he acted as a diplomatic advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies in Italy.
