Rosario Sorrentino, a graduate of the LUISS bachelor’s degree program in Economics and Management, is currently enrolled in the second year of the master’s program in Corporate Finance: "My choice was driven by my strong passion for financial markets and instruments.”
Shortly after beginning his master’s program, Rosario found an internship with the help of the Career Services Office: “I was able to learn more about what it means to work for a company and what they look for during selection processes.”
Rosario then decided to participate in the Quantitative Techniques for Economics & Management Masters Network (QTEM), a program that allows students to study with two international partners. He spent his first semester abroad at Monash University in Melbourne and in April 2019 he will attend Waseda University in Tokyo: "I have achieved my biggest dreams, to do a master’s degree and to study and travel in one of the fastest growing countries in terms of finance.”
For Rosario, solid academics, an international outlook and an innovative spirit are the three pillars of LUISS University. “These characteristics mean students have a variety of opportunities that allow them to try different things and have a clear idea of what they want when they join the workforce.”
Currently, Rosario is working in Rome for Med-Ex as a Financial Planning and Accounting Intern: "I am learning a lot and can apply the theories I am studying at university.”
In the future, Rosario hopes to take on more challenges and that he never stops seeking to improve and grow every day.”
