On Friday, June 14, in the Sala Santa Cecilia of Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica, the Building Leadership Project, an initiative led by Luiss Vice President Paola Severino in collaboration with the Santa Cecilia National Academic of Music, came to an end.
Four sessions, during which musicologists, Luiss instructors, first chairs, directors and soloists from Santa Cecilia analyzed music works and figures, comparing them to leadership dynamics, leading students through a path of growth and awareness to improve organizational skills and managerial abilities.
Student participants in the project had the opportunity to meet important protagonists from the music world, including Antonio Pappano, Music Director of Santa Cecilia, Gustavo Dudamel, Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar. Furthermore, every lesson coincided with a Santa Cecilia concert.
The initiative is part of the University’s mission to promote the development of workplace skills required to succeed in new professions.
