The Call for Applications for three collaboration contracts on the EU funded project BETKOSOL is now online.

Interested candidates should present their application by Saturday 10 April at 3pm.

BETKOSOL project aims to investigate the limits and perspectives of an improvement of the current regulatory framework to combat against frauds affecting EU financial interests, in particular in the social, health, and economic sectors, and taking into account how the COVID-19 crisis may affect the status quo.

The purpose of this comparative evaluation selection procedure is to select 3 collaborators for carrying out the following research activities:

  • Position n. 1: Comparative analysis of the anti-fraud legal framework of the EU Member States (focus on Germany and Belgium) and comparative empirical research on the EU anti-fraud legal framework. The research activity will focus on fraud against the EU involving funds in support of labor and the social sector, taking into account aspects relating to criminal law.
  • Position n. 2: Analysis of the anti-fraud legal framework in force in Italy, including a comparative analysis with respect to the anti-fraud legal framework of the EU Member States. Research will focus on EU fraud involving criminal offenses.
  • Position n. 3: Analysis of the anti-fraud legal framework in force in Italy, including empirical research, data collection and processing of case studies. The research activity will be focused on EU fraud involving criminal offenses.

The contracts will start on the first day of the month following the awarding of the contract and will end on June 30, 2020 .

The following documents must be attached to the application:

  • curriculum vitae in English;
  • copy of a valid identity document;
  • four-year and/or master's degree certificate or similar academic qualification obtained abroad;
  • optional: maximum n. 2 most relevant scientific publications and any other documentation and/or certification deemed useful for ascertaining the possession of a professional scientific curriculum suitable for carrying out research activities.

The selection of the three winners, which will be carried out by a specially appointed Evaluation Committee, will consist of a preliminary evaluation of the candidates qualifications and a possible interview.

The outcome of the selection procedure and the final ranking are published on the related Luiss webpage, as well as the the possible list of candidates called to the interview and the timetable and the method or location of the interview.
