Prof. Francesco Lippi has been awarded the ERC Advanced Grant with his research project entitled “Dynamic Cross Sections and Heterogeneity in Macroeconomics”, which aims to identify and develop new methods to define the economy’s response to shocks and to conduct a rigorous analysis of dynamic strategic complementarities and network effects, with applications in various macroeconomic contexts.

The European Research Council (ERC) is the European Union organisation that funds excellent researchers of any age and nationality who intend to carry out frontier research activities in EU Member States or Associated Countries.

The award of this project - that will last five years - is an important milestone for our University, which will act as Host Institution.

In fact, ERC supports high-risk research projects, conducted by Principal Investigators with internationally relevant curriculum and evaluated only on the basis of scientific excellence.
