The GRIF, Industrial and Financial Research Group "Fabio Gobbo", conducts academic and applied research in collaboration with companies, institutions, and organizations on topics related to industrial and applied economics, with the aim of contributing to public debate and developing advanced conceptual tools to understand the real economy. The research approach is highly multidisciplinary and focused on addressing issues relevant to public policies at both local and global levels.
GRIF's research areas, closely integrated with the activities of other Luiss research centers, include: innovation and industrial dynamics; entrepreneurship; market regulation and infrastructure policies in the energy, transport, telecommunications, and local public services sectors; competition, antitrust policies, privatizations, and liberalizations; energy and environmental policies, green technologies, and renewable energy sources; local development, economic planning, industrial districts, and regional economics; sector analysis; feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis.
GRIF aims to achieve its objectives by leveraging possible synergies between academic research, teaching activities, professional training, and consulting, developing dynamic and long-term relationships with companies and institutions at both national and international levels.
