Today witnessed the launch of “Luiss Sport – Team Up for the Planet” at the University’s Viale Romania campus. A project organised by AS Luiss in association with its partners and the Sylva Foundation, under the patronage of the Municipality of Rome and CUFAA (Forestry, Environmental and Agri-Food Unit of the Carabinieri).
The initiative brings together sport, businesses and public authorities in a concrete action for sustainability: fundraising for the planting of new trees in Rome. The protagonists of the event are Luiss student-athletes, creators of the “AS Luiss & Partners: Play for Change” programme, which involves partner businesses in shared social responsibility projects.
There was also space for art and culture with appearances by actress Anna Foglietta, painter Natino Chirico and violinist Simona Bruno, with the event moderated by the TV presenter Roberto Giacobbo. An opportunity to reflect on a greener future, in which sport and sustainability grow together.
