On Thursday, February 23, LUISS celebrates LOFT Open Day for the official inauguration of the Laboratory of Fabulous Things located on the sixth floor of the Viale Romania campus.
The LUISS LOFT is a hub for students, staff, professors and PhD candidates to explore and stimulate their creativity while delving into tech culture, creativity, design and digital production. The LOFT’s calendar of events ranges from the Internet of Things, design and coding to songwriting and digital skills to open new horizons and contribute to innovative living on campus.
On Thursday, February 23 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., the LOFTeam will present all the area’s new spaces: a coding area, a , a co-working laboratory, a video production area, an editing space and a cinema room. At 1:00 p.m., General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto will give the official welcome to the new hotbed of creativity.
Additional Open Day activities include:
- 3:30 p.m. Professor Stefano Za explains Cisco Academy courses on the Internet of Things, offering students the chance to obtain the Cisco certification;
- 4:00 p.m. LUISS Music Factory, a songwriting course with a final professionally produced record and video
- 4:30 p.m. Professor Luigi Laura presents the coding course with seminars on algorithms and coding;
- 5:30 p.m. Dr. Giuseppe Brandi introduces the Machine Learning course.
The LOFTeam will be on hand until 8:00 p.m. to get your suggestions and discuss ideas and proposals.
During the day, LUISS community members can sign up for a free membership to access and contribute to the Laboratory Of Fabulous Things.
