LUISS Sport FISE

On Friday, May 26, during the 85th CSIO di Roma di Piazza di Siena, LUISS General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto and President of the Italian Federation of Equestrian Sports (FISE) Marco Di Paola signed a memorandum of understanding.

The agreement is the first step in a partnership that will involve all FISE athletes interested in pursuing sport and academics and will provide partial and full scholarships for LUISS bachelor’s, master’s single-cycle degree programs.

“This agreement creates new horizons for a project that unites a passion for sport with the knowledge that education is an important component to success,” declared General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto.

LUISS has long recognized that sport promotes universal values related to socialization, respect for adversaries, equality and both physical and mental wellness. Sport LUISS represents one of the most important university athletic programs in the country.

Today, ASD LUISS, in addition to traditional sports like soccer, volleyball and basketball, offers students other options such as cycling, swimming, athletics, bridge, rowing, fencing, equestrian, skiing, golf and tennis.

Furthermore, since October 2015, LUISS Sport Academy has allowed student-athletes the chance to reconcile high-level education and athletics thanks to scholarships and tutoring.
