LUISS graduate Francesco Paglione is Vice President of Human Resources for Casavo, a real estate investment firm.

Francesco completed a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a major in Government Affairs, in 2012 with Professor Lorenzo Infantino. “He was more than a thesis advisor, he was a life coach. He helped me understand that completing my degree was an important milestone, that there would be several more and that I shouldn’t stop because you never finish learning."

After a master’s program, Francesco began working, first with recruitment agency Michael Page, then with Ernst&Young and L'Oréal.

When I was offered the position with Casavo, I had no doubts: "One of the values that I gained from LUISS was to accept challenges when they present themselves and I knew that this experience with Casavo, a new, innovative and disruptive company that would enhance my professional profile.”

Francesco explains that his LUISS education gave him both theoretical and practical tools that helped him enter the workforce with confidence. “Without a doubt, I learned to be resilient and to leave my comfort zone. I was taught that making mistakes only makes us more human, not more fragile. LUISS is a virtuous ecosystem, based on human excellence, where everyone - from the security team to the offices and professors - create value.”

To students and recent graduates interested in Human Resources, Francesco has three pieces of advice: “Have a great work ethic, develop business sense and be resilient.”
