Professor Mark Thatcher teaches the Politics of Cultural Heritage in Europe with the Luiss Department of Political Science.

After completing a PhD at Oxford University's Nuffield College, Professor Thatcher began teaching and researching at the London School of Economics.

In 2008, ihis book Internationalisation and Economic Institutions won the Charles Levine Prize for best book in the category Comparative Policy and Administration, awarded by the International Science Association.
