Gianni Riotta is Director of the Luiss School of Journalism and the Luiss Data Lab, he teaches at Princeton University and is an editorialist at La Stampa as well as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

After receiving a degree in Philosophy from the University of Palermo, Riotta worked for Manifesto and l'Espresso before being invited by Ugo Stile to work for il Corriere della Sera in New York.

He then earned a Master of Science from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and collaborated with notable international papers including the New York Times, Washington Post, Le Monde, The Guardian, Financial Times. He is currently a commentator on Italian current events for the BBC.

Former director of TG1 Rai and Il Sole 24 Ore, co-director of La Stampa and vice director of Corriere della Sera.
