Luiss Green Mobility is the first university service in Europe to offer smart mobility. Featuring a smart platform and app by Electric Drive Italia, Luiss Green Mobility stations are available on every campus, allowing students, staff and faculty to get around Rome in a sustainable way. Luiss Green Mobility offers the Luiss community:
- car sharing with 8 electric vehicles and 20 charging stations
- bike sharing with 10 electric bikes with pedal assist and 36 charging stations
- 6 charging stations for Luiss guests
- 8 charging stations for Luiss management
Shared cars and bikes have been available to the Luiss community since July 2016. From March until December 2018, Luiss cars were used 3,342 times for a total of 38 thousand kilometers and a 3,954-kilogram reduction in the community's carbon dioxide footprint.
From December 2016 until December 2018, 1,693 users registered for the service. Now that the platform has been integrated into the Luiss App, the service has over 9,000 members.
Technical assistance is guaranteed through the Help Desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Electric Drive Italia also organizes tutorial days on Luiss campuses to demonstrate rental procedures.
