On Monday, May 27, Luiss General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto and Carabinieri Director of Health General Vito Ferrara signed a memorandum of understanding for a series of joint initiatives to support people with diabilities.

"The ability to make space for diversity requires some of the most arduous training. To allow this to happen, we must give students the opportunity to learn in different ways. Not just from books, but through experience. Thanks to the Luiss Community Garden, students have the chance to come in contact with different worlds, from the elderly to participants in our Austistici e Giardinieri project, learning to recognize the deep value of diversity. This initiative with the Carabinieri will become an integral part of our attempts to provide a different, wider type of education. In a world that is growing quickly, our students must also move faster," declared General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto.

The collaboration seeks to integrate Luiss students and staff with the Carabineri forces in existing projects, including the Luiss Community Garden and Carabinieri hydrotherapy programs.

Furthermore, the two institutions will work together on events, initiatives and seminars to promote awareness of biodiversity, as well as workshops and volunteer programs to create new spaces to gather and share.
