Luiss announces its Campus reopening for the 2020-2021 academic year with some new features introduced in this new era of wellbeing: Over 50% of classes held on campus, new scheduling options and new spaces open to all, seven days a week for the entire student body and staff to take advantage.

In fact, incoming undergraduates and single cycle students will be able to count on 70% of lessons on campus, while second-year students will be guaranteed 50% of lessons in classrooms. Nonetheless, all classes will be live-streamed (just as during our lockdown), for those abroad or choosing to join remotely, synched for maximizing classroom interaction, as if they were right on campus.

Furthermore, starting already this July, theses defenses and graduation ceremonies will held in public on campus, along with university entrance exams, scheduled for July 29 - 30 in six Italian cities.

Classes have been rescheduled to optimize common areas and diminish crowding, to assure enhanced security and an elevated student experience. All classrooms will be outfitted with new interactive tech and tools for team collaboration, including digital white boards equipped with 4K webcams and a matrix of 12 microphones to allow for proper voice amplification to reach those seated even in back of the classroom. Students will be able to reserve the studios and digital stations to work on group projects with just a click on the Luiss platform.

The University is proud to reboot not only with new avant-garde tech but also with new space configurations. The Viale Romania Campus will host a second tent structure to accommodate 160 students while assuring safe distancing is in place for study halls or class participation. Extra-curricular activities will take place as before, with student services programmed for late afternoons and weekends.

"We can't wait to have the buzz of students in our halls again come September," remarked Luiss Guido Carli President, Vincenzo Boccia. "In reality, we never skipped a beat throughout the pandemic, making sure students were able to proceed with their studies without a hitch. But with these measures in place, we'll soon be able to see the looks in their eyes, hear out their queries, and interact in person – bringing back the important social aspect of campus life and person to person relations. We'll be doing everything to make sure we bring this new, integrated approach between in-class lessons and online interaction to the fore," added Vincenzo Boccia.
