Thursday, October 22 at 4:00 pm, Luiss School of Government organizes an interactive dialogue with Ambassador Alessandro Azzoni, Permanent Representative of Italy to the OSCE and Cavaliere Ufficiale of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Discussants also include Luiss Vice President Paola Severino and Luiss School of Government Director Giovanni Orsina.

Governments and, increasingly other actors, such as international and non-governmental organizations, use multilateral conferences as a means to achieve important policy objectives.

Unlike conventional bilateral negotiations, multilateral negotiations are characterized by intensive international discussions that involve multiple actors and interests, highly complex agendas, and differentiated international settings. As the number of conferences and meetings has risen considerably over the past twenty years, the number of government officers and other stakeholders involved in conference processes has also increased significantly.

The event will be held in English and will be streamed live on the Luiss website, Facebook page and YouTube channel.
