November 12-13, Luiss holds an online conference entitled The Como Process and Beyond: Towards a New Horizon on the Korean Peninsula?

The event brings together a group of scholars and policy-makers to reflect on one of the world’s most pressing issues: securitypeace and stability on the Korean peninsula.

The talk has three goals: the first of which is to retrace an important period of international diplomacy regarding the questions posed by the Korean peninsula, with a focus on the dialogue launched by Italy at the beginning of the century, known as the Como Process. The talk then turns to the rapidly evolving global context before the scholars offer their perspective on possible ways of reducing tensions and strengthening the region’s security in the future.

Welcoming guests are Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe and General Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luca Sabbatucci. Opening the conference is Luiss Professor Thomas Christiansen.
