Luiss graduate, Pierfrancesco Bencivenga is among the 100 young talents shortlisted by Forbes specifically in the “Finance” 2021 category. He shared his past experiences at Luiss and his career path.
Pierfrancesco studied Law, majoring in Business Law and Economics (Major in Diritto ed Economia delle Imprese) between 2012 and 2017. Concurrently, he was “manager of the football team”, before “working at the University’s Career Service". He engaged in various activities driven by “the feeling to reciprocate Luiss, a large family of which I hold very fond memories”.
Pierfrancesco stated the University’s greatest quality is “its capacity to make life easy for students, eliminating the problems linked to bureaucracy: all aspects of the University work very efficiently”. As for Luiss’s academic preparation of students, he reported “the faculty is excellent” and that “having Luiss on your CV is a valuable asset”.
Luiss’s solid network is another strength. “I am a member of ALL, which organizes many events and offers various opportunities, encouraging the personal development of its Alumni. I try to participate to as many activities as I can, returning to the University what I received throughout the years”.
Regarding his professional experience, Pierfrancesco reported he “worked at AS Roma, at Deloitte, then at Gianni & Origoni in London and finally at Allen & Overy in Milan”. His early career path earned him Forbes’s prestigious recognition. This acknowledgement led him to his current role as General Secretary of small shareholders at AC Milan.
He sees his current employment “in the world of dead capital markets and pure finance, offering financial instruments and stand-alone procedures”. As for the future, his goal is “to continue to grow and study with commitment and dedication in order to improve and develop”. Pierfrancesco mentioned one area he would like to explore is that of “ethical and sustainable finance, a sector that will gain considerable attention in the coming years”.
He recommends to those interested in pursuing a similar path “to cultivate talent, be proactive and determined, because constant dropping wears away a stone”.
