Carla is currently in her last year of the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree in Law and will graduate with a thesis on International Law. She is very grateful to the University for introducing her to people who are fundamental for her career, the opportunities and stimuli. Carla stated, “our University is a multifaceted and multi-perspective learning environment, fostering an inclusive culture”.

The student serves as President of Marianne, an association aimed at encouraging dialogue among Italian and French university students through Luiss - Sciences Po bilateral relations that address leadership and propose ideas and projects. Marianne’s board of directors is made up of other three Luiss students: Eugenio De Lisa, Bruno Bernardis, and Beatrice Margutta.

Marianne is an idea I developed long ago when I was 16. With the signing of the Quirinale Treaty, now more than ever, our objectives have an impact. I have always felt a strong connection with France. I thought a lot about this project and in 2020, we were able to establish the association”, Carla recounted.

Carla met Professor Severino, Luiss Vice-President, through Professor Castelvecchi. “Professor Severino welcomed our idea with great enthusiasm and confirmed the University’s full support by accepting the position of Honorary President and allowing us to connect with several Sciences Po professors”. Thanks to the exchanges with the French University, the “Junior Italian-French Dialogues” developed with the support of Associazione La Strada

Last December 14, Carla and other members of the association were guests of the French Ambassador Christian Masset “with whom they established a bond and synergies of action”.

As for her dreams and plans for the future, the student intends to contribute to strengthening the Franco-Italian axis through innovative projects that involve major actors of the two nations for an increasingly harmonized project at the European level. Carla stated, “my fundamental goal is to promote leadership thatunlocks human potential. We can all change something – simply follow your heart”.
