The Call for Applications for two research scholarship on Political Representation in the Euro-national Parliamentary System is now online.
Interested candidates should present their application by Wednesday 20 April 2022 at 12pm (CEST, UTC+2).
The scholarships are assigned by the Luiss Research Center for Parliamentary Studies (CESP) - thanks to a funding from the Conference of Presidents of the Legislative Assemblies of Regions and Autonomous Provinces - for developing a research on the topic “Trends and issues of political representation at regional level, in the Euro-national parliamentary system”.
The gross amount of each scholarship, lasting 6 months, is set at € 7,500.00.
Admission is allowed to graduates and young researchers who, at the deadline of this call for applications, are under the age of 30 years old, in possession of own a master's degree, a certified C1 level of knowledge of English language and an advanced level of knowledge of the Italian language.

The following documents must be attached to the application:
- curriculum vitae
- copy of a valid identity document
- master’s degree certificate or similar academic qualification obtained abroad
- list of any scientific publications
- electronic copy of the 3 publications that the candidate considers useful for the purpose of the scholarship, including degree and/or doctoral theses
The selection of the two winners, which will be carried out by a specially appointed Evaluation Committee, will consist of a preliminary evaluation of the candidates’ qualifications and an interview.
The outcome of the selection procedure and the final ranking will be published on the related Luiss webpage, as well as the list of candidates invited to the interview, the timetable and the method or location of the interview.
The winning candidates will be notified at the e-mail address provided when submitting the application. The scholarship must be accepted within 7 days after date of receipt of the offer, under penalty of forfeiture of the grant. In case of withdrawals, the scholarship will be assigned to another candidate following the order of the final ranking.
The scholarship must be completed by 30 November 2022 and cannot be combined with:
- grants for research activities (as research fellowships)
- scholarships assigned for any reason, except those granted by national and foreign research institutions in order to integrate, with stays abroad, the specific activity provided by the research task carried out by the scholar
