Luiss was recently awarded funding to activate 3 of 16 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Joint Doctoral Network (MSCA-JD) PhD positions under the European Horizon Europe program.
The DIAMOND action will explore the challenges facing democratic institutions, the rise of innovative models, and the growing dissent with the goal of producing pioneering research on the state of liberal democracy and the rule of law in the face of growing dissent within and outside the European Union.
Luiss announces 3 PhD positions for European Studies as part of the three-year Doctorate in Law and Business XXXVIII cycle:
- Research Project Title: Europe’s Grand strategy in a Competitive System: European Liberal Democracy in a Multipolar World

- Research Project Title: National and European Courts Reacting to Dissent: The Case of the Protection of Fundamental Rights
Research Area: Comparative and European Law
- Research Project Title: Socio-economic Contestations Turned into Democratic Conflicts? EU Global Trade Agreements Before Parliaments: The CETA Case
